Don’t suck. Come to the tournament at Bearded Mike’s house on Saturday December 3 starting at 2 pm. We had 19 at the last tournament. $10 buy-in, $5 re-buys and $5 add-on at the end of the re-buy period. The structure will include 15 minutes of Hold’em and 15 minutes of KC Lowball at each level (so the re-buy period will include three rounds each of Hold’em and KCL).
If you’re used to being dealt sucky hands, KCL is for you. If you’ve never played, remember that Kelvin never played Triple Draw Lowball before winning first place in the TDL tournament November 6.

Todd (Shortcake) Cruises Through Field of 19
League-leader Hank was the first to exit when he pushed all-in with a flush draw and was called by eventual second-place finisher Lance. As a recent e-mail signature indicates ("Hank....Fucking Holdem....Rohrs"), hold'em is not Hank's best game. Still, until a point system gets worked out he's atop the leader board in total cash at $290. The field of 19 was large enough, and had enough re-buys, that Todd’s win ranks fourth in payout after just one tournament.
At our last tournament, Lance (Piaza) won $2,200…playing on-line. His showing in the live tournament suffered, but he didn’t care much on that particular day. This week, he wanted to finished strong before relocating to Vegas (Baby), and did so with a second place finish. The final table enjoyed the services of a full-time dealer (thanks Tim!) who kept the game moving, and thoroughly enjoyed the heads-up battle between Todd and Lance.

Todd played a re-buy the way you’re supposed to when you think you’re one of the better players – re-buy as much as you have to and keep the action going. With 19 entries, 21 re-buys, and 18 add-on the total prize pool paid out $385:
Todd (Shortcake), 1st, $30 in buy-ins, $165 cash and the coveted Champion’s shirt
Lance (Piaza), 2nd, $20 in buy-ins, $100 cash and a Jimmy hat
Sean, $15 in buy-ins, $60 cash
Steve (Baklava), $15 in buy-ins, $40 cash
Candy (Wrapped in a Sweater), $15 in buy-ins, $20 cash
Be sure to check out all the pics below.

Current Standings - November 7, 2005
After ten total tournaments it's neck-and-neck. Hank moved into first by finishing second to Kelvin in triple-draw lowball, ace-to-five; a game that, of course, Kelvin had never played.
Although Hank seized the lead Sunday, the big news was Lance placing second in a free-roll on Full Tilt and winning more than $2,200. Lance started the final table near the bottom in chips and would have won the whole thing but for getting aces cracked by A2 off-suit – after runner-runner hearts hit. Congratulations Lance!
Special shout-outs to Sean, who bought everyone pizza, and Young Dan, who brought your humble host a Cuban (I'm saving it for after I take you head-up, sucka!).
